The Amazon rainforest is an amazing place to visit. The Amazon State of Venezuela covers encompasses one fifth of the country yet only contains 1% of the country's population. As these figures indicate, you don't have to travel far in the Amazon to witness undisturbed nature and primitive Indian tribes. My first trip to the region actually took place in the Bolivar State however the Indian communities and jungle surroundings were similar for both trips. July 1999 July 2000 |
